We treat each patient as if they were our own pets - bring them in for all their medical needs.

OUR
SERVICES

VACCINES &
PREVENTATIVE CARE

At Clearwater Animal Hospital we recommend bringing your pet in every 6-12 months for routine exams and other preventive care. We offer a variety of vaccinations based on your pet’s lifestyle,  yearly heartworm/tick panel testing, and internal parasite screenings.  We also have a selection of flea and tick and heartworm prevention available for all of our patients. As your pet ages, we offer a variety of bloodwork and other diagnostics to screen for common diseases. This allows for early intervention and keeps your pet living their best life with you as long as possible.

SURGERY

Here at Clearwater Animal Hospital we perform an array of different surgical procedures including but not limited to spay or neuters, mass removals, and foriegn body removals. Some surgical procedures are referred to specialty clinics for advanced care. We utilize a range of anesthetic monitoring including gas anesthesia, blood pressure, ECG, pulse oximetry, temperature, and pain management.

LABORATORY

We offer in-house urinalysis, cytology, fecal analysis, and blood screenings. In addition we have the ability to send samples to outside laboratories for specialized testing.

LASER THERAPY

Photobiomodulation, commonly known as laser therapy, is cutting edge technology that is used to reduce pain, decrease inflammation, stimulate circulation and promote healing. Our class 4 laser is used to aid in treating a wide variety of injuries and illnesses including; arthritis, abscesses, ear infections, edema, fractures, frostbite, IVDD, urinary tract disorders, swelling, wounds, and more. In addition to acute and chronic conditions, we also utilize laser therapy after most surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, and dentals to help reduce recovery time.

RADIOLOGY

Our state of the art digital x-ray machine aids in diagnosing several illnesses or injuries. We also have the ability to work with board certified radiologists to further interpret the radiographs allowing for thorough evaluation.

DENTISTRY

We offer Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) procedures under general anesthesthesia. With all dental procedures we perform full mouth digital dental radiographs to fully evaluate all parts of the teeth including the roots. After the comprehensive exam, any necessary tooth extractions are performed and all remaining teeth are scaled and polished.

PHARMACY

Our in-house pharmacy carries an extensive list of commonly used prescription medications and diets for your pets. We work with compounding pharmacies as well to order more specialized medications if needed for your pet.

END OF LIFE SERVICES

We understand that the decision to euthanize your pet can be one of the most difficult times in a pet owner’s life. We strive to make the process as smooth and pain-free as possible by providing pain medications and placing an IV catheter. For aftercare options, we partner with Heavenly Paws to provide individual and garden cremation services. We offer complimentary clay paw prints and locks of hair for you to remember your beloved pet.

Clearwater Animal Hospital was formerly the Kelner Animal Hospital established in 2007 by Dr. Vicki Kelner. Dr. Kelner created a loyal and large patient base due to her high level medical care and concern for her patients. Dr. Shayna Gotvaslee purchased the hospital in January 2018 and renamed it the Clearwater Animal Hospital. Dr. Kelner continues working on a part time basis to care for her patients. We continue to offer comprehensive preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care to our patients. We also strive to offer sound advice and optimal veterinary care to every patient with loving hands and caring hearts.
